Description

Faworki, also known as chrust, are delicious sweet pastries popular in Poland, ideal for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour with the egg yolks.
  2. Knead the dough.
  3. Roll out the dough into thin rectangles.
  4. Cut into strips and twist into faworki.
  5. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Fresh faworki are best enjoyed immediately after frying. Store leftovers in an airtight container in a dry place.
