Description

Classic Polish dish of carrots and peas, simple and healthy, perfect as a side dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups carrots, sliced
  • 2 cups peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the sliced carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the peas and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the carrots and peas are tender.
  3. Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, sugar, salt, and pepper to the vegetables, gently stirring until the butter melts and coats the vegetables.
  5. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

Enhance flavor with fresh ingredients; adjust butter or sugar to taste. Adding a splash of lemon juice can elevate the dish.
