Description

Delicious and sweet strawberry dumplings that are perfect for the strawberry season. A fantastic dish for family gatherings or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar (plus more to taste)
  • 500 g fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Butter for serving
  • Sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, egg, and warm water to form a smooth dough.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mix strawberries with sugar and cornstarch.
  4. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out circles.
  5. Place a teaspoon of the strawberry filling in the center of each dough circle.
  6. Fold the dough in half and seal the edges well.
  7. Cook the dumplings in salted boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Serve topped with melted butter and sprinkled with sugar.

Notes

Serve warm and enjoy with whipped cream or yogurt. Leftover dumplings can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days or frozen before cooking.
