Description
Traditional Polish honey cake, sweet and fluffy, perfect for coffee or tea.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g honey
- 200 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice
- 400 ml heavy cream (30%)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Mix honey, butter, and sugar, then heat until melted.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and spices.
- Combine wet ingredients with dry and mix.
- Bake at 170°C for 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, cut the cake in half and fill with cream.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or cold, and decorate with fresh fruits or nuts for extra charm.
