Description

Traditional Polish honey cake, sweet and fluffy, perfect for coffee or tea.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g honey
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 400 ml heavy cream (30%)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Mix honey, butter, and sugar, then heat until melted.
  2. Add eggs and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and spices.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry and mix.
  5. Bake at 170°C for 30 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, cut the cake in half and fill with cream.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or cold, and decorate with fresh fruits or nuts for extra charm.
