Description

Traditional Polish dumplings filled with fresh blueberries, perfect as a dessert or sweet snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 250ml water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 300g fresh blueberries
  • 100g sugar
  • 50g butter (for frying)
  • sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the eggs and water, then knead the dough.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mix the blueberries with sugar in a bowl.
  4. Roll out the dough into thin sheets and cut out circles.
  5. Place a teaspoon of blueberry filling on each circle.
  6. Fold the circles in half and seal the edges tightly.
  7. Cook the dumplings in salted water for about 5-6 minutes until they float.
  8. In a pan, melt the butter and fry the dumplings for a few minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream.

Notes

To store leftover dumplings, freeze them on a tray and then transfer to a bag or container for up to 3 months.
