Description
Traditional Polish dumplings filled with fresh blueberries, perfect as a dessert or sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g flour
- 2 eggs
- 250ml water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 300g fresh blueberries
- 100g sugar
- 50g butter (for frying)
- sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the eggs and water, then knead the dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the blueberries with sugar in a bowl.
- Roll out the dough into thin sheets and cut out circles.
- Place a teaspoon of blueberry filling on each circle.
- Fold the circles in half and seal the edges tightly.
- Cook the dumplings in salted water for about 5-6 minutes until they float.
- In a pan, melt the butter and fry the dumplings for a few minutes until lightly golden.
- Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream.
Notes
To store leftover dumplings, freeze them on a tray and then transfer to a bag or container for up to 3 months.
